Celebrating its 45th year, the 2021 Atlanta Film Festival is the region’s preeminent celebration of cinema. The organization offers a look at upcoming films, entertainment, networking, education & professional development year-round. The festival itself is one of the largest and longest-running in the region. It is also the most distinguished event in its class, recognized as the ‘Best Spring Festival’ by Atlanta Journal-Constitution, ‘Best Film Festival’ by Creative Loafing, Sunday Paper, 10Best and Atlanta Magazine, as well as one of the ’25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World’ and one of ’50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee’ by MovieMaker Magazine.
We take pride in the films we program; we’re constantly searching for fresh, innovative, and inspiring means of cinema. As one of only two dozen Academy Award-qualifying events in the country, the Atlanta Film Festival showcases nearly 200 films annually to over 27,000 attendees across a ten day event each spring. Each year the Atlanta Film Festival receives over 9,300 submissions from 120+ countries across the globe.
The 11th annual Creative Conference, which is the festival’s educational programming, features Masterclasses, roundtable discussions, one on one conversations, and workshops with up and coming indie filmmakers, professional actors, and industry experts from around the country.
The Creative Conference serves to educate, entertain, and enlighten by pulling back the curtain on film and television production to give our audience a peek behind the scenes at how projects get made and by whom.
